FOSTER PUP-DATE - SIMBA

Simba and I were paired to be fosters not long after my move to Garden City during the middle of 2020 summer. At first I was apprehensive of getting an animal while still getting used to my move yet longing for a furry friend. My hairdresser recommended FCHS’s foster program and that same day FCHS was asking for fosters, I signed up as soon as I could.

They walked me though the process and provided me with all the supplies I needed to foster. Simba was recommended for me as he had been to the shelter a couple times by then and needed someone to love and someone to love him. For a few months we battled getting him clear of his skin condition and finally in October adopted him officially as by that point we were too attached to let go of each other! Simba has since has grown back all of his hair, and he still enjoys to sit, shake, and take naps in the sun. The program is so rewarding and I cannot wait to help more animals in the future!!

FOSTER MEOWDATE

Fostering saves lives..... there are many times we send out a plea for fosters. Sometimes we do it when we are full, sometimes we do it when an animal is injured and needs a quiet place to recoup.

No matter what our community pulls through. We are privileged to put out foster stories from previous fosters, current fosters, new potential fosters.

This is Willie. He came into the shelter as a baby feral cat who needed some socialization, he was eventually adopted at a rescue. He was a little wild, but by the time he got sent to rescue, he had calmed down and would let me hold him.

FOSTER MEOWDATE - Logan - Drac - Garfield

Good Morning! Meet our three foster kittens. Logan is fluffy black kitten on bottom left. Gohan (who we call Garfield) is yellow tabby in middle. Drac is black kitty peeking out on right. All are males and are very busy. All were adopted or rescued. We adopted Drac who is now Jack.
